It's all about lifestyle

I got a chance to pay a visit to a long time mentor Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, a senior BJP functionary, leading the prestigious Rambhau Mhlagni Prabodhini and directing its Public Policy Research Centre.

It was a delight to see a man of profound wisdom, all pervasive connections and tremendous influence to be humble to the hilt anchored perpetually to the goal of national resurrection and inducing the same during that 2.5 hour of dinner interaction.

The straightforwardness to assert the strengths and openly accepting the weaknesses coupled with the firmness to alleviate the same through multifarious interventions, is a trait which only honest and hardworking optimists can only unleash at ease without reproach even amidst the ongoing downpour of malicious negativity being perpetrated from several quarters.

The organiser in him went beyond sheer philosophising & enunciating high octane precepts and made a direct humane connect ridden with causeless affection and care making a silent but significant transformation.

The serene smile signifying a deeper sense of contentment just quashed all concerns at once and gave a much larger and deeper perspective for advancing in life without compromising on the foundational values or deviating from the chosen vision.

So much so far from a man who is an integral member of the 'saffron-khaki' clan, which is demonised and derided at the drop of an handkerchief by the now-collapsing coterie of inimical forces who somewhere get terrified by the frugal sattvic lifestyles of these swayamsevaks who have an eternal anti-dote to all negativity.

The dinner spread at his 145 South Avenue based residence answered the underlying secret of it all. It was the typical Indian sattvic mix of healthy food, chapatis, daal, sabji, salad et al, interestingly without onion & garlic cooked with extreme finesse.

This dinner meeting with Dr Sahasrabuddhe unraveled the manifestation of the over-arching principle of Indian Civilization which has emphasised upon simple living and high thinking.

It's all about lifestyles at the end of the day. It drives and governs your thought process and makes you what you are.

Shekhar's Serendipity :: Calls for a Seditious Splintering of the Indian Union

One of the suave vocal voices of Indian liberality Shekhar Gupta, took the plunge of going through the Vijaya Exhortation of Dr. Mohan Bhagwat. Defying serendipity, his prejudiced glasses could only discover a plethora of pernicious phrases & pointers from the masterpiece containing over 45 odd nuggets of wisdom.

Going through his weekender piece titled "A Nagpur Manifesto" somewhere brought about the profound difference between scientific objective discourse which has to be backed by reason and has to fall into a contour of consistency. Politically prejudiced journalistic commentaries are meant to operate in a zero gravity environment, whereby the authenticity of going through a piece is not important. It's the name which matters and it's the coterie which celebrates anything which falls in their ambit of reasoning, howsoever naive or loquacious it might be.

Like a typical Search Engine Optimization agent, they tend to fit in as many keywords as possible in these write-ups of theirs so as to force fit their ongoing narrative on the objective news items. Humanities they say, thereby rule the elements as its sauce of sophistry can deceive the human neurons, if not alert and present to the context.

If it's the Government of the RSS, then why shouldn't The Vijaya Exhortation of the Sarsanghchalak be accorded a similar status as that of The State of the Union Address and why not even more as it is addressed to the billion plus population of this country as a whole?

Thankfully for India, it's not the Government of the Unfaithful, who have had been rejoicing their personal privileges at the expense of toiling millions.

Mr. Gupta's dressing sense might be having a contempt to the wide spread khaki knickers which the swayamsevaks find it quite convenient to undertake their morning Surya Namaskars. This might be for their want for expensive NIKE sports gear which the liberality puts on to burn their morning calories or for their excessive conscious sense to create an easily accessible & affordable desi attire. At this juncture he is okay mocking at the simple, or simplistic attire, while on the other he leaves not a single chance to take a jibe at the mesmerizing dressing sense of the swayamsevak in command of the Government of India. It's really hard to comprehend as to what's the point he is trying to make. Is the simplicity of the 'ganvesh' is his cause of concern, or is the resplendence of attire of India's Prime Minister, his taboo? Perhaps, in his worldview replete with theoretical pauperization, such a contrast just doesn't fit in. On the contrary, the Indian Worldview is equal at ease with this natural gradient of choices & preferences.

This naivety thereby extends to other complex and advanced concepts as in appreciating the ideal of 'Unity-in-Diversity' which he proposes to simplify for a merely celebration of whopping diversity, a motif ridden with profound mischief aimed at ulterior motivations of fragmenting the Union of India which was so painstakingly unified by freedom fighters.

For the purpose of self-aggrandizement, these high priests of liberality secured in myriad ways would abuse their intellectual prowess to perpetrate ideas of extreme seditious nature and attempt to cover them up into some high-octane intellectual discourse which interestingly has to be protected by the state of the day as their absolute constitutional right of freedom of expression.

Out of the 45 odd points of deliberation which the Sarsanghchalak exhorted on the day of Vijaya, he could pick up only the one concerning the balancing of population with the natural resources of the country for a prosperous living.

If Mr. Gupta's celebration of diversity tantamount to an uneven state, then the rule of the law of the land would be hard to keep. Well, the aristocracy of the unfaithful liberality has never had enough regard to the law as it constituted the extended protectorate of the powers of the day. But could the same privilege be extended to a billion plus nation risking a profound civil war? If that's his innate intent and objective as an agent of inducing chaos, it's an another matter altogether.

Mr. Gupta couldn't pick up any wisdom or value from the other pointers pertaining to the philosophical deficiencies of the global policy deck in advancing development and the due course corrections which have been made in due synchronization with the age-old Indian ethos, which the Sarsanghchalak chooses to call as Hindutva.

If I have a profound repository of civilizational wisdom, why should I be apologetic about accepting them in my individual, communal and national life? Practices & precepts which are aberrated or have served their utility are obvious choices for pruning, which a vigilant and self-conscious society undergoes through a constant process of self-purification. Does it need external apologetics and mischief mongers to intrude and convolute the entire process per se.

Hypocrisy has somewhere become the predominant pathogen of the unfaithful liberality, which has kept itself self-indulgent pursuing narratives which suit their existence. Intellectualism which is not delivering or liberating, which is not responsible to the welfare of the masses to which it's subjected at, is just an exercise in deceit and treachery.

From the age of roti & kaudi to that of twitter & television, the Indian society had had its ways and means of sharing the dominant precepts of its civilizational ethos. An organization of 90 year old standing with over 51000 units doesn't need the alms of any media organization to express itself. A simple factor of 10 makes them cover the entire length and breadth of the country. They constitute a Real Social Media in themselves. Fluttering over the live telecast of Sarsanghchalak's Vijaya Exhortation is thereby nothing but an obligation for the entire spectrum of media organizations. There would be alien forces which would not like this to happen. Exposing them and their sheer motives should thereby be an exercise deserving credentials in journalistic investigation.

What's wrong with having an ideological underpinning which believes in the global superiority of Indian culture, philosophy and science? If Indians won't be having this, is Mr. Gupta expecting a Donald Trump to stand for it?

The sordid tales of European Imperialism have been documented by their very chroniclers, while the profound influence of Indian Civilization is still having its reverberations. The recently concluded Dharma-Dhamma Global Congregation at Indore, brought about these closely knitted civilizational ties together rooted in a spiritualized world order envisioned by Rishis and Lamas alike.

Having a qualified phobia is a sign of wisdom and not weakness. As an individual, I should have the freedom to choose what I like and drop what I don't. The same holds true with organizations and nations. What's wrong in picking up the best values & virtues from the Western World while dropping those facets which are either irrelevant or extraneous to Indian Civilizational designs?
However, if you are hired for perpetrating a particular way of life for advancing the strategic goals of your masters, this is an extremely valid question from your stable? Creating a sense of contradiction whereby none exists, is a master stroke in sophistry.

The Kalam Standard of patriotism is probably shared by the vast majority of the minority community if not mollycoddled by the liberality which remains unfaithful to the Indian nation. The intrinsic synthesis of the Indian mind emanates such tactical accommodations and prevents an ISIS like happening in this vast sub-continent. Would Mr. Gupta who in his vast journalistic experience has simply exposed fault-lines have any better idea to bridge them? Solution centric journalistic commentaries would have to be made the order of the day for evoking responsibility. If a poor policeman has to collect his bullet shells even after a ghastly encounter, shouldn't a journalist of the repute of Mr. Gupta advance a resolution as well, closer to his convictions, or else what value does his commentary has - a figment of imagination or an attempt to broaden the existing fault lines?

He has issues with the invocation of Ambedkar by a Sarsanghchalak as if a Benjamin Netanyahu is kissing a Rami Hamdallah on the mouth. The objective accounts of the alienation of a considerable mass of Indian population into the Dalit fold are available across the board. How this very fault lines has been a point of exploitation for ages, is also duly documented. Sarsanghchalak's call to unify the entire Indian society can be a distress signal to the forces of disruption and disintegration.

It's Dr. Ambedkar's constitution only which mandated for a Right to Equality for all Indian Citizens, which just cannot be interpreted differentially by making the Supreme Lords in Black Coats to embark upon a night-out on a hue and cry over an execution by an ever hyper liberality, proving its unfaithfulness to the Indian Republic all over again. The Vijaya Exhortation across its elaborate expanse, nowhere engages in a seditious serendipity.

It's in the nature of nature that winds do flow from high pressure areas to lower pressure ones. If Indians have over the ages evolved an elaborate philosophical foundation and based its societal transactions on them and created a stupendous economy and polity, creating an integrating living experience, is this their fault? The brief era of disruption & subduing by imperialistic forces can't take away the depth & reasoning of the Indian Knowledge Systems. If these winds have chosen to flow to lower depression areas, what's haunting or disturbing in this? Scoring a political point in the garb of a philosophical meandering is again a vicious attempt in intellectual skulduggery.

When Mr. Gupta, couldn't find enough sewer silt in the Vijaya Exhortation, which presumable he didn't even go through once or else he would have fallen in love with the 'closure of ideas' presented out there, he expanded his horizons to read the minds of Sarsanghchalak's ideologues who in his opinion can only make deeper cultural changes riding only on the state power. He just makes this assertion, without substantiating it with any tangible evidence. Again, a tactic deployed by his clan of liberality.

Going to the extreme of the argument, are these ideologues hard pressed for the oxygen of state power for bringing about a deeper cultural change within India. They have been doing it all through. It's just that, it's being used as a tool for tampering their tethers. These are lone crusaders championing their age-old civilizational convictions right from the age of the invading Alexander of Macedonia of the fabled Greece.

A Dinanath Batra didn't have a Mukul Rohtagi has his disposal to thwart the lewd & ludicrous lullaby of a Wendy Doniger. A Rajiv Malhotra didn't have the signing authority from the Consolidated Fund of India to create a formidable academic defence for the Indian Civilization duly attacked by the triad of Marxist, Missionary and Muslim intellectual forces in the new age of intellectual imperialism.

The intellectual bankruptcy or the sinister brief being carried out by Mr. Gupta gets amply exposed when he amusingly starts disputing the call for Common Laws and Common Policies as Majoritarian & Unsustainable and indirectly suggests them as unconstitutional.

Is he looking for variants of IPC, CRPC, and the host of other laws promulgated by the Parliament? Is this the summum bonum of the liberality discourse to splinter India?

Mr. Gupta might be going the Kejriwal way to pick up an argument with the Sarsanghchalak Ji, but I would like to invoke the night-out friendly Supreme Lords of my land to pay heed to this seditious serendipity of Mr. Gupta suo moto being the sovereign guardians of the letter & spirit of Indian Constitution.

Mr. Shekhar Gupta would also appreciate that the constitutional guarantees are not absolute. His serendipity in sedition can only go this far as the key tenets of his sophistry get amply exposed in letter as well as spirit.

The Vijaya Exhortation

The Sarsanghchalaks of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh give their annual exhortation on the ocassion of Vijayadashmi. The following the key snippets of Dr. Mohan Bhagwat's address to the Indian Society on Vijayadashmi 2015.

The Goal for Bharat
Accomplishing the goal of

Building a prosperous, efficient & egalitarian Bharat;

Bringing peace, prosperity & progress, right from our families to the whole world;

based on the strength of an organized society. #TheVijayaExhortation (1)

Resurgence of Bharat & Bharatiya Society
The resurgence of a self reliant, strong, prosperous and secure Bharat, giving benevolent & flourishing leadership to the world, is possible only when an egalitarian, organized & enlightened society with self esteem strives towards this end.
#TheVijayaExhortation (2)

Resolve of Society on Policies
The firm resolve of such a society (egalitarian, organized & enlightened) will reflect on the policies of our democratic system and the constitutional authorities who run the system. #TheVijayaExhortation (3)

Policies & Society
Agile, clear, accurate policies as well as discretion of a society which is free of selfishness & divisiveness are mandatory requirements to change the destiny of nation and, therefore, it is essential that both should complement each other.#TheVijayaExhortation (4)
Present situation in the country A very optimistic and soothing view.
An atmosphere of disappointment and lost faith, which existed couple of years back, has evaporated.
An atmosphere of expectations has come to fore, generating a sense of optimism that such expectations shall be fulfilled. #TheVijayaExhortation (5)

POSITIVE VIBES TO REAL POSITIVE CHANGE
It has to be made sure that these positive vibes reaches the last person in the row, by turning it into an actual experience by bringing about a real positive change in his life; his trust in the bright future of his own personal life as also of national, should grow.#TheVijayaExhortation (6)
BHARAT's GLOBAL FOOTPRINTS
It is becoming evident to all that Bharat’s esteem in the world has gone up many-fold in the last couple of years. In view of Bharat’s national interest, many pro active steps have been taken to improve bilateral relationship with the neighboring countries, with successful results. #TheVijayaExhortation (7)

EMERGENCE OF NEW MODERN BHARAT
It seems that the world is being introduced to a new modern Bharat. The World is experiencing a Bharat, which is full of self-respect & self-confidence, maintaining the traditional view of goodwill towards all but, at the same time, unhesitatingly taking stand in very clear terms, in international diplomacy whenever national interests are involved, and giving a helping hand to nations in distress anywhere in the world. #TheVijayaExhortation (8)

Bharat is reincarnating itself into an all together new manifestation and the world is enchanted to see Bharat’s new Avatar with utmost optimism. Bharat’s Gita, Yoga and Tathagat have a universal acceptance like never before. #TheVijayaExhortation (9)

POLICY FORMULATION IN CONSONANCE WITH BHARTIYA PSYCHE
Keeping in view the need to develop goodwill for Bhartiya psyche & tradition and to protect and enhance its prestige, Policies are being formulated at the administrative level.  #TheVijayaExhortation (10)

BHARAT'S LEADERSHIP TO DEVELOPING WORLD
All the developing nations of the world are looking forward to Bharat’s leadership to emancipate them from the undesirable influence of the so called world powers. #TheVijayaExhortation (11)

AGE-OLD DIPLOMATIC APPROACH :: BALANCING NATIONAL WITH GLOBAL INTERESTS
Throughout its chequered history of rise and fall, Bharat has always treated the whole world as its own family. On account of its agility and strength, Bharat has always followed the tradition of finding the balance between national interests and world interests, with utmost integrity towards both, and today we are gradually experiencing the glimpse of same age-old diplomatic approach. #TheVijayaExhortation (12)

A NEW VIEW OF ADAPTIVE BHARATIYA SOCIETY
It is necessary that this effulgent picture of Bharat is imprinted in the mind of the World as well as in the mind of every individual of the land. Hence, it is vital that we should make all walks of our national life vibrant with a new thought and new valiant efforts. So, creating a new picture of the society capable of adopting policies & systems in keeping with modern times and, at the same time, based on the foundations of the eternal truth, which forms the substratum of our immortal national life, is the need of the hour.
#TheVijayaExhortation (13)
CREATING AN INDEPENDENT MODERN ROADMAP FOR BHARAT
We must come out of “Saheb is always Right” (“Saheb Wakyam Pramanam”) mentality. Making Bharatiya mind and soul as the basis, we should adopt whatever is good, truthful & fair from the rest of the world and create an independent modern road-map for our nation. #TheVijayaExhortation (14)

SYNERGY OF THOUGHTS & ACTION OF INTELLIGENTSIA, ADMINISTRATION and GOVERNMENT
The thoughts & actions of intelligentsia, administration and policies of government should be transformed accordingly. In the absence of this synergy, it will not be possible to present a Bharat that is self-reliant, egalitarian, strong & prosperous. #TheVijayaExhortation (15)

REVIEW OF DEFICIENT THOUGHT PROCESSES & PHILOSOPHIES
Deficiencies of the thought processes & philosophies, which prevailed for centuries in the world, are being scientifically proved. The ill-effects of such deficient thought process & philosophies are even more compelling to ponder over the very same thought processes and philosophies have made review of them all the more compelling.#TheVijayaExhortation (16)

DEFICIENT PROCLAMATION OF 1951
In 1951, Social and economic department of United Nations, supporting these deficient philosophies had made following proclamation:
“There is a sense in which rapid economic progress is impossible without painful adjustments. Ancient philosophies have to be scrapped; old social institutions have to disintegrate. Bonds of caste, creed & race have to burst and large numbers of persons who cannot keep up with the progress have to have their expectations of a comfortable life frustrated. Very few communities are willing to pay the full price of economic progress.” It was an extremely materialistic, self-centered and insensitive philosophy that was forced upon the world.
#TheVijayaExhortation (17)
REVIEW OF THE EXTREMELY MATERIALISTIC, SELF-CENTERED & INSENSITIVE PHILOSOPHY
When the ill-effects of the very same philosophy started affecting the proponents of this philosophy, they made a sudden U turn.
In October 2005, the conclave of the Governors of Central Banks of the G20 countries declared:
“We note development approaches are evolving over time and thus need to be updated as economic challenges unfold. —— We recognize there is no uniform development approach that fits all the countries. Each country should be able to choose the development approaches & policies that best suit its specific characteristics while benefitting from there accumulated experience in policy making over last decades, including the importance of strong macroeconomic policies for sustained growth.”
#TheVijayaExhortation (18)

REVIEW OF THE EXTREMELY MATERIALISTIC, SELF-CENTERED & INSENSITIVE PHILOSOPHY CONTD.
Bringing more clarity to the statement above, News Bulletin of World Bank in 2008, said:
“In our work across the world we have learnt the hard way that there is no one model that fits all. Development is all about transformation. It means taking the best ideas, testing them in new situations and throwing away what doesn’t work. It means, above all, having the ability to recognize when we have failed. This is never an easy thing to do. It is ever more difficult for an organization to do so, be it the government or the World Bank, which constantly need to adapt to the changing nature of developmental challenge.” #TheVijayaExhortation (19)
STICKING TO THE TIME TESTED BHARATIYA PHILOSOPHY
After this self realization, phrases like ‘Holistic’ and ‘Sustainable development’ started appearing in the world discourse over development talks. Environmental concerns also could find made some place in this discourse. So, it will be prudent to free ourselves from the tendency to accept this deficient philosophy as the ultimate truth, since it in itself is going through the cycle of experiment- experience- change.
It would be better if we stick to our time tested philosophy. #TheVijayaExhortation (20)

COOPERATION & COORDINATION
This philosophy is based on cooperation & coordination. According to this philosophy, Dharma and Sanskar are at the forefront of Life and not ArthKaam. For sustainable development, this philosophy encourages least use of energy, maximum employment, sensitivity towards environment, ethics, and the wholesome approach to agricultureIt suggests a decentralized and self reliant economic and industrial order. There is a major emphasis on skill development and increased productivity. #TheVijayaExhortation (21)

THE BHARATIYA NITI OF INCLUSION
As per this philosophy, success of the system is judged on the fact whether the last person in the land is getting justice, education and basic needs of life. Hence the major emphasis has to be on farmers and agriculture, small and medium scale industries, small traders and craftsmen. All organizations, intellectuals, policy makers, political class and administrators working in the socio-economic field have to take a note of this.

It is pleasurable to note that the manifesto of Niti Ayog is giving clear indications in the same direction. #TheVijayaExhortation (22)

THE PATIENT METAMORPHOSIS OF BHARATIYA SOCIETY
It is obvious that this metamorphosis will not take place all of a sudden. It would be a challenge to bring inherited economy back to normal state, balance political compulsions, and straighten administrative machinery. We ought to keep whole lot of patience to see the fruition of our efforts to take the benefits of development to the lowest strata of society and enlist their participation in the nation-building. We would like to see steady increase in their confidence towards nation building exercise.
#TheVijayaExhortation (23)

MEASURING THE EFFICACY OF KEY POLICY MEASURES
Mudra Bank, Jan Dhan Yojna, voluntary surrender of cooking gas subsidy, Swachha Bharat initiative, and skill development are some useful initiatives of the present government, in the same direction.

It is essential to get credible data, both qualitative & quantitative, from the grassroots level to measure the efficacy of our developmental policies.

It is also necessary to hold fruitful dialogues to ensure the participation of all in the nation building exercise, and speed up the execution of the program.

#TheVijayaExhortation (24)
ENLIGHTENMENT & TRAINING OF SOCIETY
Efficacy of all the policy measures aimed at changing the destiny of the nation will very much depend upon the enterprising spirit, capability to cooperate, and the wisdom of masses. To achieve it, enlightenment and training of society is a prerequisite. #TheVijayaExhortation (25)

POPULATION POLICY
While speaking about development, population growth is one related aspect, which is much talked about. We need to seriously ponder our population policy. It must be discussed whether population is a boon or bane?

Whether the current systems and resources would be adequate to provide employment and basic amenities to masses after 50 years from now?

How much manpower would be required to run our systems effectively? #TheVijayaExhortation (26)

NURTURING THE POPULATION
Quiet often, it becomes mother’s responsibility to bringing up children and inculcating values in them. Hence diet, healthcare, self-respect, empowerment, enlightenment, opportunities and freedom to make use of those opportunities by our mothers need to be ensured by our system.

Are our systems turned for the same?

What is our anticipation regarding the condition of our environment after 50 years? #TheVijayaExhortation (27)

WIDER BUYING IN FOR A UNIFIED POPULATION POLICY
Facts and figures of last two census reports and the imbalances that have come to notice as a result are being widely discussed. Our present and future is getting impacted by the same.

We need to rise above vote bank politics to formulate a holistic approach, equally applicable to all citizens, towards the population policy.

Such a population policy cannot be enforced by our Governments or laws, all alone. Considerable efforts are required to tune society’s psyche to the same. It would be prudent to think about the same during policy making exercise.
#TheVijayaExhortation (28)

RESPECTABLE DIALOGUE FOR ACCENTUATING CHANGE
To bring about a change in the natural instincts and behavioral patterns of humans, customary religious practices, and cultural traditions, in accordance with current times is often, too tricky.

Even if this change is appropriate, it cannot be accomplished by just bringing in a law or making law enforcement agencies to enforce the law.

It never happened this way and it will never happen this way.

It can only be accomplished through a respectful dialogue with concerned entities.

This dialogue and the efforts to enlighten the society through the dialogue, needs to take place at all the levels be it the government, administration, media or intellectuals in the society and it should consistently continue before and after such changes. #TheVijayaExhortation (29)

TRUTHFUL & JUST TO BE THE GUIDING PRINCIPLE
We should not be guided by cheap popularity or political incentives.

What is truthful and just should be our guiding principle.

By adopting a compassionate approach towards every section of society, we can change their approach through a friendly and respectable dialogue.

The anguish some sections of people felt as a result of some reasoned judgments could have been avoided.
#TheVijayaExhortation (30)

SANTHARA et al
For example, Santhara, peculiar life style of Digambar Acharyas, Bal-Deeksha (initiations of children as recluses), etc., are some of the age old practices prevalent in the Jain community. To bring about changes in such matters without consulting the Acharyas of the respective sects about the reason, importance and philosophy behind such practices, will affect social cohesion and harmony and finally harm the nation. #TheVijayaExhortation (31)

THE PROCESS OF RELIGIOUS REFORMS
It has been a tradition in every sect/religion in our Country to introspect about their rituals and practices at regular intervals and attunes such a rituals and practices to current times and circumstances.

This is the healthy way of bringing about necessary changes. All such changes have always come from within. Any external attempt to bring about such changes has always ended up only in controversies. Success in any systemic change is achieved only through changing the social psyche.#TheVijayaExhortation (32)

EDUCATION FOR SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION
Education system is an important tool for social transformation.

In recent years, we have been observing commercialization of education. Getting more and more expensive, it is going beyond the reach of an ordinary citizen. Hence the purpose which education is expected to fulfill, is not taking shape.

Apart from imparting formal education, education also aims at shaping a complete man, who is wise, self respecting, self reliant, compassionate, efficient and cultured
#TheVijayaExhortation (33)

INTEGRAL APPROACH TO EDUCATION
With this integral approach to education, many experiments are going on within as well as outside the country.

We should take cognizance of all these experiments. Results from these experiments, and the suggestion made by various organizations, educationists and panels should form the basis for all the aspects of education be it curriculum, fee structure or management of education. #TheVijayaExhortation (34)

SOCIETY BASED EDUCATION
Education should be society based. Education should be oriented towards fulfilling its goal as well as contemporary requirements of society. And in the light of these limits there should be freedom to chalk out the education system.

To ensure that education is not commercialized; government needs to make sure that government educational institutions also are run well at all levels. This process starts with the quality of teachers we have.

We need to have effective training, and maintain standards for teachers. More than anything else, we need teachers who realize their responsibilities.#TheVijayaExhortation (35)

PARENTING AS A DOMINANT TOOL FOR TRANSFORMATION

However, the role of parents and society is equally important.

Do we tell our children that it is more important to have a meaningful life than a successful life?

Is our behavior such, which instills the values of truthfulness, justice, compassion, sacrifice, patience and good behavior

Is our generation ready to tread this path in social and professional fields with insistence and agility, ignoring petty gains?

Do we – the social and political leadership – and media care to see that our walk and talk leads the society, particularly new generation, towards national integrity, social harmony and ethical behavior? #TheVijayaExhortation (36)

FUNDAMENTAL REFORMS FOR UNITING SOCIETY
To say that Governance and economy and other systems drive human behavior –“Yatha Raja Tatha Praja”

Hence our policies should unite the society; caring for the uplift of the weakest link of the society, they should achieve progress of everyone in the society.

We need fundamental reforms in our electoral practices, administration, tax systems, public health system, and industrial, educational and agricultural policies to make them more effective and people oriented. #TheVijayaExhortation (37)

HANDLING TERRORISM & HOSTILITIES
Hostilities by Pakistan, expansionism from China, rising fundamentalism & chauvinism in the world order, and unfair international diplomacy, resulting in rise of terrorist outfits like ISIS, are acting as a catalyst to already complicated and serious internal and external security of our country.

Fostered by external powers and inspired by external ideologies, some people from within are walking the path of terrorism.

It goes without saying that it is government’s responsibility to come out with a comprehensive and a firm policy to root out all such problems ones and for all. #TheVijayaExhortation (38)

RESTRAINING MEDIA FOR PREVENTING ILL EFFECTS IN SOCIETY
Ethical education should be made part of the education policy so as to preserve our social and cultural values intact and thwart all attempts at destroying our culture.

There is a view that media should be regulated while conserving their freedom to ensure that no ill effect, knowingly or unknowingly, prevails in the society. #TheVijayaExhortation (39)

GOVERNANCE DRIVEN BY THE SOCIETY
It is a fair to expect that all the promised dreams are realized and became a reality fast. But this is also true that governance is driven by the will, quality of thoughts and organized state of the society.

When a self realized, righteous & holistic society starts walking with determination on the path towards national glory, the systems and apparatus of nation follow and become helpful in the transformation.

A nation becomes prosperous, safe and capable only when government, administration and public at large are on the same page on the issues of identity of nation, national pride, and credible integrity towards nation, and are ready for constant efforts with focused contemplation.#TheVijayaExhortation (40)

CHORDS OF UNISON OF BHARATIYA SOCIETY-1

(1) Certainly, it is our eternal culture – Hindu culture – that accepts and respects all forms of diversity and which precisely forms the nature and value system of every Bharatiya. #TheVijayaExhortation (41)

CHORDS OF UNISON OF BHARATIYA SOCIETY-2

(2) The very culture, based on which our ancestors build their lives, toiled hard to nurture and foster it, and even sacrificed their live for its protection and honor, even to this day, their glory is a source of inspiration and ideal for us. #TheVijayaExhortation (42)

CHORDS OF UNISON OF BHARATIYA SOCIETY-3

(3) This divine motherland endowed with richest and wealth, who helped us realize the truth that formed the foundation of that culture and the Dharma born out of it, whose abundance of divine wealth nurtured us and made us magnanimous, the love and devotion for whom we inherited from our ancestors, such motherland of ours, even today has the power to arouse the creative spirit of every individual of this country. #TheVijayaExhortation (43)

ASSIMILATING VARIED IDENTITIES
Through these three factors an individual can easily be assimilated while keeping ones diverse identity of language, region, sect and party intact. Also, even while safeguarding one’s smaller identity, one becomes part of the larger social identity. The humanitarian spirit, vision and philosophy based on the above three factors, the decision in conformity and equally matched practice is what is called Hindutva.
This lifestyle of Hindu society, from time immoral, even long before the term Hindu was coined, evolved in keeping with the time on the basis of above three factors. The onus of good and bad of this nation ever rusts only on their shoulders.
#TheVijayaExhortation (44)

SOCIETY :: THE FOUNTAINHEAD OF NATIONAL PROGRESS
When an efficient and organised society works persistently for the betterment of nation for a long time, then only the nation becomes prosperous.

The Bharatiya society has to become perfect and organised on the strength of their eternal identity.

Soaked with the nectar of our Dharmic Values that ends all divisiveness and is capable of infuse the whole humankind with the feeling of fraternity by giving them real freedom, let us individually and collectively endeavor to accord happiness, peace and redemption to human race. This the way out and we have to do it.

Resonating with RSS

You hate it, you admire it, but you just can't ignore the entity called RSS.
Despite being utterly peaceful, unarmed and rooted deeply into the Indian virtues & values of extreme tolerance and accomodation of diverse points of view, the organisation is feared. Feared by all those mischief mongers and perpetrators of hate & smear campaigns aimed at abusing the Indian Civilization for various reasons. Feared for all the rightful reasons of ensuring the vibrance and cohesion on the Indian soil which has been a victim of aggression and aggrandisement for ages.

Founded some 90 years ago on this very symbolic occasion of Vijyadashmi commemorated as the day of victory of Ram (dharma) over Ravan (adharma), RSS built up its mammoth strength invoking the principle of its namesake Really Simple Syndication (as in RSS Feeds).

RSS simply feeds into the Indian societal spectrum converging its intrinsic nationalist fervor to a gigantic superstructure creating the awe & reverence for the Indian way of life. For the adversaries and opponents, this gets interpreted as fear.

The perpetration of psychological warfares into the civilizational discourse have got all the more imperative owing to the global economic consumerism.

You can't push through the vast milieu of your products & services until you get a ready market of consumers who are aligned to your way of life.

The innate cultural defences & taboos of a society organized and propelled from a different set of ethos need to be weakened and dismantled for the economics to set in.

This, thereby becomes the fountainhead of the entire spectrum of cultural insinuations manifested in myriad manners. This is heralded from a twin tactic of questioning the regressiveness of your own beliefs and way of life while indoctrinating the progressiveness of that motley mix of cultural values which suit their economic objectives.

A Ravan could only deceive a Sita by masquerading as a Sanyasin. He could never ever have duped a Sita by being in his original avatar.

Women, children and teenagers which constitute the most impressionable and decision influencing segment of any society are thereby subjected to a deception spree which is multi-layered and all pervasive.

From culinary preferences to those pertaining to that in attire; from the notions of personal relationships to the definitions of societal interactions; from the balanced set of objectives of human endeavor to that of a singular pursuit of economic well-being; the attacks and provocations are widespread.

When the direct attacks of Tadakas, Maarechs & Subhahus are thwarted; the Shurpankhans are sent as a probe to woo. But when they too are exposed and repulsed back, the bid to abduct the very integral Sitas is made so as to rule from within.

The ever vigilant, fearless and temptationless constituents of the Indian Society duly represented by the RSS do have a clear understanding of the dark designs of these invading brutes & crooks. They not only have the wherewithal to take on the armies of Khar-Dushans, they have the audacity & courage to cross the ocean and invade the all powering Lanka and slain the mighty Lord of the three worlds, the so-called invincible Ravan.

The Indian Society at large resonates with the tunes of RSS and not that of the invading grand-mix of opposing worldviews and lifestyles.

Each of its very member thereby bows down every morning to that ethereal universal & timeless Shakti of Bharat so resplendently represented by that disciplined set of khaki clad Swayamsevaks of RSS across the nook and cranny of Bharatvarsha.

Let these guardians of Indian Soul & Spirit be feared perpetually.

Fixing India's Higher Technical Education :: Linking it up with the larger National Narrative

While India is witnessing a major shift in the overall governance across sectors, Education somehow remains the weakest link in the fray.

In a recent media interaction, the incumbent Chairperson of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Prof Anil Sahasrabuddhe commented, “We want to be more strict with setting up of new institutions. With a large number of seats going vacant in technical education institutions, the norms of setting up of new ones need a review.” This came in the advent of a whopping reduction of Engineering seats by 40% from the current 1.67 million.

An otherwise well meaning academic having steered the prestigious College of Engineering, Pune for over a decade, he has somehow chosen to tow the conventional line from the high office he has been elevated to, this July.

His predecessor, another soft spoken academic at heart, Prof. S S Mantha, was known to pass on the buck of ailing regulation to the states which don't share the perspective plans while having such a vast spectrum of members on his governing council at his disposal.

The riddle of regulating Higher Technical Education in the country has been besieged with such conventional commentaries which somewhere fail to envision and thereby position its role & relevance in consonance with the larger national narrative.

In an increasing technological era, every strand of economic intervention is getting affected and influenced by technology in one way or the other. Transforming an age-old civilization like that of India, which is considered to live in multiple centuries at the same time, would thereby need an army of technocrats possessing a sound orientation and initiation into the world of technological discourse.

The Top-Down aspirational Policy initiatives of Make in India, Digital India, Smart Cities, AMRUT, Swaccha Bharat, Shramev Jayate et al would somewhere need a ground swell & support which can be duly provided by these Higher Technical Institutions which dot at least 400 districts of the country at large.

When the elite club of Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs)of all hues like Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs); National Institutes of Technology (NITs); Indian Institutes of Scientific & Engineering Research (IISERs)etc. have not been able to synchronize their institutional priorities with those of national objectives, how come these insignificant lots having got established from unorganized small scale private investments can envision the same?

Nonetheless, these institutions governed by the respective State Technical Universities, present the stark potential to make a difference at the grassroots, if given a chance. Interestingly, the Vice-Chancellors of these State Technical Universities are rarely given a chance in National Level Policy making in due spirit of Team India for Higher Technical Education. It should not be a far fetched proposition to have a special place for these eduLEADERS who are steering through this vast higher technical education establishment in their respective states in AICTE governance.

The District Level Governance is replete with inadequacies and inefficiencies in terms of adequately empowered manpower and platforms for research, analysis, deliberations & customizations suiting the local needs. The 31 odd line departments running a district are in a perpetual need of technologically oriented manpower aiding & supporting their various planning & analytical functions. The Municipalities, the Development Authorities, the Traffic Police, the Irrigation Department, the Tourism Department, you name it, and you have it - the craving for additional efficient manpower and local level research & customization.

The local industrial clusters which have been carrying forward the subsistence manufacturing need technologically oriented manpower to understand their current challenges and find out resolutions suiting their local & regional context. The back-end design and front-end communications of their business life-cycles is a dominant need of these 40 million odd MSMEs.

The artisans of all hues can be duly empowered by technology enabled interventions. Innumerable number of other trading enterprise; social organizations; religious outfits; other institutions all are in the process of transformation thriving on technological tools.

Why can't this huge pool of techno-managers being nurtured in this vast higher technical education set-up be oriented & deployed as an additional cadre to support this local level demand? Engagement with one stream or the other can ensue right from the first year of study in the due spirit of exposing them to the spree of problems which can have a technological solution.

The dove-tailing and stitching together of such a vast initiative won't be difficult. Ample experiments have already been done on this philosophy.

However, a structured policy push is what is warranted for whereby these Higher Technical Institutions are seen as Local Resource Centres and not merely as Dengue Mosquitos which have unwarrantedly emanated on the national scene. A sense of ownership would have to be taken up than the typical extension of the 'save the skin' syndrome.

This would however need a paradigm shift in perspective about the role & relevance of this vast array of Higher Technical Institutions which was allowed to germinate in the last one and a half decade. Instead of seeing this as a monstrous development, it can rather be seen more as a god-send opportunity. The population narrative of India, which was surmised to be a national specter somewhere got transformed into a more positive one of "demographic dividend", whose potential is now being invoked time and again.
The long term sustainability and ascendance of India's prowess on the global scene can only be accentuated by a well meaning original thought on India's educational governance and the best starting point can be the technical education of the country which is thankfully duly invested in and is replete with profound edupreneurs connected to the ground realities.

It probably needs the much left-out "Modi-Touch" to galvanize the energies & enthusiasm of all those who matter in the fray.

Braj Theme Parks :: Fossilizing a Living Tradition

When you fall short of creative imaginations, you retort to phoney simplifications just to gain some quick brownie points in the circles you roam. Creating a Krishna theme park in a living tradition of Braj, would tantamount to a pre-mature fossilization at the hands of consumerist forces.
If a dollar hungry spiritualopreneur would have seconded this proposal, it would have been cast aside as a mis-appropriated exercise in tune with the gigantic spiritual malls coming up on the Chhatikara - Vrindavan Road.
But such a bid from the sitting MP of a ruling political party being led by a well meaning leader of eminence having deep footing into the Indian Civilization, simply showcases the intellectual bankruptcy and exposes the political ills of para-trooping a danseuse from the tinsel town to take care of the aspirations of a 25 Lakh Plus native and 5 Crore Plus visiting population to a zone which has been defining the Indian Identity for ages.
Braj - the land of Sri Krishna still harbors and lives through the ethos and traditions of prosperity, not just on the material plane but interestingly on the emotional and spiritual plane as well whose sanctity was so mercilessly abrogated during the bygone Sri Krishna Mahotsav.
When the insignia of Sri Krishna are presented across the sacred zone of Braj, what purpose would be achieved by creating yet another super-structure, whatsoever you may call it?
Instead of putting her influence & charms to create a further build-up and align with the forces which are working for the all round development of the region from first principles, the imported Member Parliament has somewhere fallen into the trap of a coterie of vested ignorant interests which has somewhere got her priorities myopic.
If the sitting MP would have taken up, for example the cause of the 137 Sacred Groves of Braj, she would have catapulted her status to that of a real ambassador of Braj.
The land of Braj is a theme park in itself. It should be envisioned to be groomed as a stupendous cultural zone of India.  With over 150 villages of heritage importance having over 750 sites of importance, it would be pertinent on the part of the elected parliamentarian to expand her horizons and set out the tone and tenor of Braj resurrection in the right direction.

The Indic Entrapment as diagnosed by Prof Madhu Kishwar

One of the most profound and penetrative exponents of Indic Civilization Sri Sri Ravishankar once said that the rulers should never get satisfied and the intellectuals should ever get frustrated.

In the latter spirit, one of the committed crusaders for the Indic Cause, Prof. Madhu Kishwar issued a set of 10 tweets highlighting a peculiar situation of intellectual entrapment for the forces of the Indic Civilization, which leads to the loss of gained grounds.

A bit hard-hitting but coming from a devout empathizer like Prof. Kishwar, it's worth giving a patient and open consideration given the fact that the current disposition is facing a kind of an intellectual coup from various quarters despite a stellar ground as well as global performance.

The organizational machinery of the party in power comprising of a committed army of volunteers enthused by the charismatic mission of the Prime Minister and disciplined by the Party President, helped crossing the hurdle of electoral victory which is going on and on.

The unparalleled commitment & relentless striving to deliver has also set the Governmental Machinery duly in order which is working like never before and producing results.

However, very little emphasis & effort has gone out towards creating a sound intellectual defense for its due advancement in a spirit resounding the indigenous civilizational ethos.

The entire gang of anti-Indic coterie has somewhere colluded and stood in unison and is embarking on a set of well coordinated attacks on the Indian Establishment. A concerted, consistent and constant effort is going on to question the democratic legitimacy of the current formulation. Stray incidents are being projected the central national level discourse.

This is hinted by Prof. Kishwar in her observation that the earlier dispositions governed by opposing political forces used to do the dirtiest of the deeds but would cleverly use pious, rhetoric and would go on to pamper the dominant intellectual noises to remain on its side.

Her biggest concern is of the utter innocuousness of the representatives of party in power who tend to get entrapped even for the dirty deeds done by others. As per her observations, they fall in the vicious trap laid out by the opposing camp and
shirk winning over these very intellectuals.

She tends to unravel the smart design of the opposing political forces which mandate their tribe of intellectuals not to defend overtly. It's just enough if you demonize their main rival.

Prof. Kishwar's pain get candid when she says that the party in power lets talented people in its own ranks rot & instead allows incompetents or loose cannons to become its public faces. The lack of a coherent policy makes the situations duly grim.

She builds up her argument further that the opposing political forces tend to hire high brow intellectuals to define a rhetorical agenda as a cover for real agenda. Despite pursuing a real agenda vigorously, the current disposition is being blockaded on tricky moral grandstanding.

She goes on further to allege that while being even in power the party in power fails to lead the public discourse due to the lack of intellectual firepower.

The Prime Minister led the national narrative for a while, before it just got hijacked over a series of unconnected incidents so well expounded in utmost synchronization.

Prof. Kishwar laments on the fact that the party in power ends up taking daily abuse in media, while the opposing powers of the day have been successful in building up an utterly false narrative of "dissent being crushed worse than Emergency".

Prof. Kishwar gets concerned about the supposed loss of friends/supporters in the country,at the very time when India has made significant strides on the global frontier emerging as a power to reckon with.

Her observation that a regime's legitimacy depends not only on votes but also by the intellectual narrative around it, which in her purview has not got built up considerably.

She might be sounding a bit apocalyptic, but being a well wisher and an ardent adherent of the Indic way of life, of which the current political disposition is considered to be the dominant guarding force, her brick-bats need to be taken up in the right earnest and a strong fort of an intellectual defence of Indic civilization be erected.
