Resonating with RSS

You hate it, you admire it, but you just can't ignore the entity called RSS. 

Despite being utterly peaceful, unarmed and rooted deeply into the Indian virtues & values of extreme tolerance and accomodation of diverse points of view, the organisation is feared. Feared by all those mischief mongers and perpetrators of hate & smear campaigns aimed at abusing the Indian Civilization for various reasons. Feared for all the rightful reasons of ensuring the vibrance and cohesion on the Indian soil which has been a victim of aggression and aggrandisement for ages. 

Founded some 90 years ago on this very symbolic occasion of Vijyadashmi commemorated as the day of victory of Ram (dharma) over Ravan (adharma), RSS built up its mammoth strength invoking the principle of its namesake Really Simple Syndication (as in RSS Feeds). 

RSS simply feeds into the Indian societal spectrum converging its intrinsic nationalist fervor to a gigantic superstructure creating the awe & reverence for the Indian way of life. For the adversaries and opponents, this gets interpreted as fear. 

The perpetration of psychological warfares into the civilizational discourse have got all the more imperative owing to the global economic consumerism. 

You can't push through the vast milieu of your products & services until you get a ready market of consumers who are aligned to your way of life. 

The innate cultural defences & taboos of a society organized and propelled from a different set of ethos need to be weakened and dismantled for the economics to set in. 

This, thereby becomes the fountainhead of the entire spectrum of cultural insinuations manifested in myriad manners. This is heralded from a twin tactic of questioning the regressiveness of your own beliefs and way of life while indoctrinating the progressiveness of that motley mix of cultural values which suit their economic objectives. 

A Ravan could only deceive a Sita by masquerading as a Sanyasin. He could never ever have duped a Sita by being in his original avatar. 

Women, children and teenagers which constitute the most impressionable and decision influencing segment of any society are thereby subjected to a deception spree which is multi-layered and all pervasive. 

From culinary preferences to those pertaining to that in attire; from the notions of personal relationships to the definitions of societal interactions; from the balanced set of objectives of human endeavor to that of a singular pursuit of economic well-being; the attacks and provocations are widespread. 

When the direct attacks of Tadakas, Maarechs & Subhahus are thwarted; the Shurpankhans are sent as a probe to woo. But when they too are exposed and repulsed back, the bid to abduct the very integral Sitas is made so as to rule from within. 

The ever vigilant, fearless and temptationless constituents of the Indian Society duly represented by the RSS do have a clear understanding of the dark designs of these invading brutes & crooks. They not only have the wherewithal to take on the armies of Khar-Dushans, they have the audacity & courage to cross the ocean and invade the all powering Lanka and slain the mighty Lord of the three worlds, the so-called invincible Ravan. 

The Indian Society at large resonates with the tunes of RSS and not that of the invading grand-mix of opposing worldviews and lifestyles.

Each of its very member thereby bows down every morning to that ethereal universal & timeless Shakti of Bharat so resplendently represented by that disciplined set of khaki clad Swayamsevaks of RSS across the nook and cranny of Bharatvarsha. 

Let these guardians of Indian Soul & Spirit be feared perpetually. 

Fixing India's Higher Technical Education :: Linking it up with the larger National Narrative

While India is witnessing a major shift in the overall governance across sectors, Education somehow remains the weakest link in the fray.


In a recent media interaction, the incumbent Chairperson of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Prof Anil Sahasrabuddhe commented, “We want to be more strict with setting up of new institutions. With a large number of seats going vacant in technical education institutions, the norms of setting up of new ones need a review.” This came in the advent of a whopping reduction of Engineering seats by 40% from the current 1.67 million.

An otherwise well meaning academic having steered the prestigious College of Engineering, Pune for over a decade, he has somehow chosen to tow the conventional line from the high office he has been elevated to, this July. 

His predecessor, another soft spoken academic at heart, Prof. S S Mantha, was known to pass on the buck of ailing regulation to the states which don't share the perspective plans while having such a vast spectrum of members on his governing council at his disposal.    

The riddle of regulating Higher Technical Education in the country has been besieged with such conventional commentaries which somewhere fail to envision and thereby position its role & relevance in consonance with the larger national narrative. 

In an increasing technological era, every strand of economic intervention is getting affected and influenced by technology in one way or the other. Transforming an age-old civilization like that of India, which is considered to live in multiple centuries at the same time, would thereby need an army of technocrats possessing a sound orientation and initiation into the world of technological discourse.

The Top-Down aspirational Policy initiatives of Make in India, Digital India, Smart Cities, AMRUT, Swaccha Bharat, Shramev Jayate et al would somewhere need a ground swell & support which can be duly provided by these Higher Technical Institutions which dot at least 400 districts of the country at large. 

When the elite club of Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs)of all hues like Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs); National Institutes of Technology (NITs); Indian Institutes of Scientific & Engineering Research (IISERs)etc. have not been able to synchronize their institutional priorities with those of national objectives, how come these insignificant lots having got established from unorganized small scale private investments can envision the same? 

Nonetheless, these institutions governed by the respective State Technical Universities, present the stark potential to make a difference at the grassroots, if given a chance. Interestingly, the Vice-Chancellors of these State Technical Universities are rarely given a chance in National Level Policy making in due spirit of Team India for Higher Technical Education. It should not be a far fetched proposition to have a special place for these eduLEADERS who are steering through this vast higher technical education establishment in their respective states in AICTE governance.

The District Level Governance is replete with inadequacies and inefficiencies in terms of adequately empowered manpower and platforms for research, analysis, deliberations & customizations suiting the local needs. The 31 odd line departments running a district are in a perpetual need of technologically oriented manpower aiding & supporting their various planning & analytical functions. The Municipalities, the Development Authorities, the Traffic Police, the Irrigation Department, the Tourism Department, you name it, and you have it - the craving for additional efficient manpower and local level research & customization.

The local industrial clusters which have been carrying forward the subsistence manufacturing need technologically oriented manpower to understand their current challenges and find out resolutions suiting their local & regional context. The back-end design and front-end communications of their business life-cycles is a dominant need of these 40 million odd MSMEs.

The artisans of all hues can be duly empowered by technology enabled interventions. Innumerable number of other trading enterprise; social organizations; religious outfits; other institutions all are in the process of transformation thriving on technological tools.

Why can't this huge pool of techno-managers being nurtured in this vast higher technical education set-up be oriented & deployed as an additional cadre to support this local level demand? Engagement with one stream or the other can ensue right from the first year of study in the due spirit of exposing them to the spree of problems which can have a technological solution. 

The dove-tailing and stitching together of such a vast initiative won't be difficult. Ample experiments have already been done on this philosophy. 

However, a structured policy push is what is warranted for whereby these Higher Technical Institutions are seen as Local Resource Centres and not merely as Dengue Mosquitos which have unwarrantedly emanated on the national scene. A sense of ownership would have to be taken up than the typical extension of the 'save the skin' syndrome. 
 
This would however need a paradigm shift in perspective about the role & relevance of this vast array of Higher Technical Institutions which was allowed to germinate in the last one and a half decade. Instead of seeing this as a monstrous development, it can rather be seen more as a god-send opportunity. The population narrative of India, which was surmised to be a national specter somewhere got transformed into a more positive one of "demographic dividend", whose potential is now being invoked time and again. 
 The long term sustainability and ascendance of India's prowess on the global scene can only be accentuated by a well meaning original thought on India's educational governance and the best starting point can be the technical education of the country which is thankfully duly invested in and is replete with profound edupreneurs connected to the ground realities.

It probably needs the much left-out "Modi-Touch" to galvanize the energies & enthusiasm of all those who matter in the fray. 

Braj Theme Parks :: Fossilizing a Living Tradition

When you fall short of creative imaginations, you retort to phoney simplifications just to gain some quick brownie points in the circles you roam. Creating a Krishna theme park in a living tradition of Braj, would tantamount to a pre-mature fossilization at the hands of consumerist forces. 

If a dollar hungry spiritualopreneur would have seconded this proposal, it would have been cast aside as a mis-appropriated exercise in tune with the gigantic spiritual malls coming up on the Chhatikara - Vrindavan Road. 

But such a bid from the sitting MP of a ruling political party being led by a well meaning leader of eminence having deep footing into the Indian Civilization, simply showcases the intellectual bankruptcy and exposes the political ills of para-trooping a danseuse from the tinsel town to take care of the aspirations of a 25 Lakh Plus native and 5 Crore Plus visiting population to a zone which has been defining the Indian Identity for ages. 

Braj - the land of Sri Krishna still harbors and lives through the ethos and traditions of prosperity, not just on the material plane but interestingly on the emotional and spiritual plane as well whose sanctity was so mercilessly abrogated during the bygone Sri Krishna Mahotsav. 

When the insignia of Sri Krishna are presented across the sacred zone of Braj, what purpose would be achieved by creating yet another super-structure, whatsoever you may call it? 

Instead of putting her influence & charms to create a further build-up and align with the forces which are working for the all round development of the region from first principles, the imported Member Parliament has somewhere fallen into the trap of a coterie of vested ignorant interests which has somewhere got her priorities myopic. 

If the sitting MP would have taken up, for example the cause of the 137 Sacred Groves of Braj, she would have catapulted her status to that of a real ambassador of Braj. 

The land of Braj is a theme park in itself. It should be envisioned to be groomed as a stupendous cultural zone of India.  With over 150 villages of heritage importance having over 750 sites of importance, it would be pertinent on the part of the elected parliamentarian to expand her horizons and set out the tone and tenor of Braj resurrection in the right direction. 

The Indic Entrapment as diagnosed by Prof Madhu Kishwar

One of the most profound and penetrative exponents of Indic Civilization Sri Sri Ravishankar once said that the rulers should never get satisfied and the intellectuals should ever get frustrated. 

In the latter spirit, one of the committed crusaders for the Indic Cause, Prof. Madhu Kishwar issued a set of 10 tweets highlighting a peculiar situation of intellectual entrapment for the forces of the Indic Civilization, which leads to the loss of gained grounds.

A bit hard-hitting but coming from a devout empathizer like Prof. Kishwar, it's worth giving a patient and open consideration given the fact that the current disposition is facing a kind of an intellectual coup from various quarters despite a stellar ground as well as global performance. 

The organizational machinery of the party in power comprising of a committed army of volunteers enthused by the charismatic mission of the Prime Minister and disciplined by the Party President, helped crossing the hurdle of electoral victory which is going on and on. 

The unparalleled commitment & relentless striving to deliver has also set the Governmental Machinery duly in order which is working like never before and producing results.

However, very little emphasis & effort has gone out towards creating a sound intellectual defense for its due advancement in a spirit resounding the indigenous civilizational ethos.

The entire gang of anti-Indic coterie has somewhere colluded and stood in unison and is embarking on a set of well coordinated attacks on the Indian Establishment. A concerted, consistent and constant effort is going on to question the democratic legitimacy of the current formulation. Stray incidents are being projected the central national level discourse.

This is hinted by Prof. Kishwar in her observation that the earlier dispositions governed by opposing political forces used to do the dirtiest of the deeds but would cleverly use pious, rhetoric and would go on to pamper the dominant intellectual noises to remain on its side. 

Her biggest concern is of the utter innocuousness of the representatives of party in power who tend to get entrapped even for the dirty deeds done by others. As per her observations, they fall in the vicious trap laid out by the opposing camp and
shirk winning over these very intellectuals. 

She tends to unravel the smart design of the opposing political forces which mandate their tribe of intellectuals not to defend overtly. It's just enough if you demonize their main rival.

Prof. Kishwar's pain get candid when she says that the party in power lets talented people in its own ranks rot & instead allows incompetents or loose cannons to become its public faces. The lack of a coherent policy makes the situations duly grim.

She builds up her argument further that the opposing political forces tend to hire high brow intellectuals to define a rhetorical agenda as a cover for real agenda. Despite pursuing a real agenda vigorously, the current disposition is being blockaded on tricky moral grandstanding.

She goes on further to allege that while being even in power the party in power fails to lead the public discourse due to the lack of intellectual firepower.

The Prime Minister led the national narrative for a while, before it just got hijacked over a series of unconnected incidents so well expounded in utmost synchronization.  

Prof. Kishwar laments on the fact that the party in power ends up taking daily abuse in media, while the opposing powers of the day have been successful in building up an utterly false narrative of "dissent being crushed worse than Emergency".

Prof. Kishwar gets concerned about the supposed loss of friends/supporters in the country,at the very time when India has made significant strides on the global frontier emerging as a power to reckon with. 

Her observation that a regime's legitimacy depends not only on votes but also by the intellectual narrative around it, which in her purview has not got built up considerably.

She might be sounding a bit apocalyptic, but being a well wisher and an ardent adherent of the Indic way of life, of which the current political disposition is considered to be the dominant guarding force, her brick-bats need to be taken up in the right earnest and a strong fort of an intellectual defence of Indic civilization be erected.

Mr. Chief Justice, I too constitute your citizenry

The Supreme Court of India turned to the solitary guardian of the people of Delhi at the expense of the billion plus citizenry as the Grandson of Chief Justice of India is reportedly forced to wear a mask due to pollution. A whopping levy of Rs 1300 has been slapped on the commercial vehicles plying through Delhi making lives of people in other parts of the country further expensive who too bear the brunt of inescapable menace of pollution.

Explicitly taxing an entire population for the sake of a few who have made it to an elite precinct called the National Capital Region, somewhere smacks of a differential outlook and approach on the part of the apex agencies with unimpeachable integrity and respect.

The consternation is beyond the judicial right of intervening into a pressing public issue and give directives to the Governments of the day. It's all about the sampling space which is increasingly getting cliched and reduced to a zone of extra ordinary power, inordinate privilege and skewed amounts of public expenditure. The moot question arises as to why the people residing in the National Capital Territory of Delhi be treated differentially from the others residing in the (32,00,000 minus 1484) sq. km landmass of the country.

The cost of the utter failure of this privileged principality just cannot be passed on blatantly by leveraging the constitutional powers to the simpleton toiling millions who look up for justice and probity and equality of treatment from these high constitutional institutions.

The country can't afford the burden of a dual governance which are not delivering in the first place. One, a populist disposition duly elected on a manifesto which in turn levies its own right for taxing its citizenry for delivering the due public services including those of law & order. Second, a court imposed levy which the elected ones silently support as they feel vindicates its very failure.

Instead of penalizing the very officials and public representatives and holding them accountable to the onerous responsibility of public governance, the court chooses to pass on the burden to the public at large. Does it feel helpless in being the arbiter of justice between the people and those in power? Is it not creative enough to discover the key operational gaps leading to a menace and impose their due bridging rather than merely translating the same into the vicious regime of imposing additional levy on the people?

The decisions of the sovereign governments in a democratic set-up can be questioned, argued against and opposed. But in order to ensure the legal suzerainty, supremacy and respect amidst the people at large, a convention to hold the views and judgements of the courts sacred has rarely been flouted.

If the court has to pass strictures in public interest, it has to view the plight of the entire country at large and issue directives accordingly. Why should a privileged precinct be singled out from its towering and all encompassing purview?

Secondly, by entering into the domain of policy making and passing on operational level strictures even to the extent of fixing the prices, doesn't it set a wrong precedent to guard and cover up the failure of democratically elected Governments? The Government of the day could not have been happier as it has got an additional revenue stream on the strictures of the court, which it can plunder at will to its own electoral advantage rather than real public benefit.

This stricture has simply passed on the environmental burden rather than addressing it from the roots. The court could have instructed simply that only those vehicles fitted with a particular standard of emission control would be allowed to ply down the privileged precinct of National Capital Region with an additional stricture to all the governments across the country to get all the vehicles empowered for the sake of the billion plus population.

Solution centric and all encompassing strictures would be hailed by the people at large and would sustain the unimpeachable integrity of the high institutions as that of The Supreme Court of India, which has somehow acted as The Supreme Court of Delhi, at least on this count.

Mr. Chief Justice, I too constitute your citizenry and have the same expectation as that of your grandson to prevent me from wearing a mask. You are the Chief Justice of the Republic of India.

Towards a Unified Defense of Indian Civilization :: Defining the Grand Narrative of Emerging India

Every time a strong political leader emerges on the horizons of a nation state, the indigenous societies replete with their cultural, theosophical & philosophical meanderings find a chance to consolidate and catapult their convictions. At the end of the day, it's all about sovereign societies resounding in their very own vibrant existence, interfacing with each other and organizing themselves into a super-structure of larger formulations constituting a nation-state. This dominant aspiration of human existence cannot be more profound and prosaic than the societal mosaic of India. Incidentally, to a significant set of practitioners and adherents this mosaic magnificence is under attack from multifarious quarters which do need a concerted defense.

If the incidents of the quarter gone by are analysed and dissected, a definitive pattern of collusion & coordinated instigations aimed to topple the emerging grand narrative of India can be easily unearthed. From orchestrating a Parliamentary Logjam over the proposed amendments in Land Acquisition Bill, to creating an anti-farmer smear campaign resulting in its roll-over to nurturing a persistent 'duragrah' at FTII to creating a furore over the lawful hanging of a traitor and enemy of India to inducing a patel uprising in the state of Gujarat to heralding aspersions on the BJP - RSS connect to blowing out the Maharashtra Meat Ban episode out of proportion to unduly favoring an enemy nation-state complicating the sensitive foreign policy prospects of India to taking the entire nation to ransom on a stray criminal incident in Dadri, the insidious methods and their underlying motivation of toppling the Grand Narrative of Emerging  India gets crystal clear.

Ample public attention is sought over the aforesaid disruptors, creating an unprecedented ruckus in a well coordinated fashion. Ripples after ripples somewhere get induced and duly amplified to target the anchor of the chess board. A sinister propaganda warfare over-stretching to the extent of comprising the national security by the very Indian Constituents is unfurled and intensified.

An incident is picked up and the rallying war cry of TV reporters & anchors is fed upon it to make it substantial by attracting the interest of the tribe of offensive public intellectuals & commentators who thereby join the fray invoking their myriad meanings and mystic motifs. This intellectual churning is further fed into this propaganda machinery and is expanded in scale by involving newer stakeholders so as to project it as the unfurling national narrative. The treatment given to the other set of incidents which can challenge this in the first place is deliberately kept bland and tepid.

The perpetrators of this grand strategy are prolific in their skill sets and astutely professional. They have their hawkish eyes on their key objective of sustaining the intensity & spreading the expanse of the propaganda ripple, as they know it for well that it's the intensity and scale which eventually matters in public discourse. Carry it on till a dent is accomplished, till the weaker opposition deflects or deviates or buckles down. Every trick under the arm is deployed to create the furore, the most damaging of it is to indulge in a set of self-contradictory questions having an intrinsic argumentative closure whose answer has to confirm with the question itself. The very attempt to answer the same dis-empowers the respondent if he/she is not guarded to take on this sophistry. This is nothing new, the mighty Bali used this tactic to win over the physical power of the opponents.

The germinated taxonomy is copied and replicated in due earnest across the members of the orchestra. The chosen narrative angle is repeated again and again to make it the cardinal truth. Half-reporting, mis-reporting, use of multi-connotation linguistic constructs are all a part and parcel of this self-enriching machinery.

The invocation of a message of peace by an active President having deeper political convictions by the Prime Minister in an electoral rally in the battle of bihar is being seen as an early symbol of fatigue and limitations of the communications machinery of the Government, Party in power and the intellectual spectrum defining and unfurling the Grand Narrative of emerging India.

No doubt, there has been a visible and vociferous defense across.

Those in the Governmental space have been briefed to be brief and objective to facts. Ministries have got their official spokespersons who are trained titans who just can't be lured to step out of the brief in any circumstance and are fierce in fending their facts. Stray slippages if any are contained very fast and the fort is thereby held stout and strong.

The Party in power has attracted a coterie of high octane, well meaning, widely exposed spokespersons duly trained into the political epistemology, gifted with the twists and turns of the language and presenting an extremely guarded point of view which just can't be exploited under any circumstance of intellectual skulduggery. If there are pacers like Sambit Patras, there are composed spinners like Nalin Kohlis. The feminine smiling faces of Shaina NCs blunt down any attack of any magnitude while the journalistic experience of veterans like M J Akbars stick to the guns and create listening even amidst the die-hard skeptics. The legal hawks in Meenakshi Lekhis keep the spiral on and on repeating the same argument in flowery finesse while the intellectual disposition of G L Narasimha Raos fights fiercely and give a serious sincere touch to the discourse.

The advent of integrated media platforms like Niti Central; Swarajya; India Facts; Bharat Niti; The Nationalist View; The Namo Patrika etc. have brought in a significant spectrum of scholars, intellectuals, commentators & analysts together to unravel the deeper malaise, the deceptions heralded, the intellectual foundations of a paining precept, the historical evolutions, the aberrations induced, the pointers to a much more profound repository of works and people et al.

Nevertheless, the resonant power of an orchestra is far from visible which can present an unimpeachable and impregnable intellectual defense of the Grand Narrative of Emerging India. The power, potential and potency of the offending forces are much more organized, fueled and well coordinated having the advantage of building a winning progressive popular perception.

There have had been efforts to induce a constant shastratha to this effect, but again, the extent and continuity of the same is still not very well coordinated or continued in timeline. The India Ideas Conclave by the India Foundation was one such exemplary initiative which needs a profound continuity in terms of thought & connections by bringing together these multifarious thinking Tenalis from across the deck. The lavishes can be curtailed, however to the chagrin of the detractors.

The political and organizational training along with the directionality of policy research offered by institutions like Ram Bhau Mhlagi Prabodhini, Vivekananda International Foundation etc. can be further enriched & diversified to profound intellectual discourses led by doyens across the spectrum of Indic Civilization including the likes of Prof. Kapil Kapoors; Rajiv Malhotras; Michel Daninos; Kendraad Elsts; Dr. Nandita Krishnas; Dr. S Kalyanramans; Dr. Saroj Balas; Rakesh Sinhas; Francois Gautiers; Prof. Subhash Kaks; Madhav Nalapats; Prof. R Vaidyanathans; Sankrant Sanus; Renu Malhotras; Sandhya Jains; Sanjeev Nayyars and others. There is an entire galaxy of scholars & intellectuals who have put themselves to a serious study of Indic traditions and have been demonstrating their due relevance in the emerging modern narrative.

From Finance to Economy  to Polity to Society to Technology to Education to Geo-Politics to Legislation to a wide vivid range of thematics. These discourses need to define, describe and determine the Grand Indian Narrative in consonance with the central civilizational ethos, ideas and reality of India.

Due systems and processes would need to be evolved along with delineation of substantial resources to nurture this outer intellectual layer. This would provide the multi-layered stratosphere of thought & action to create the much needed unified defense of Indian Civilization.

The Party in Power can think of creating a specialized coordination cell to this effect, something in lines with the IT & Social Media Cell to institutionalize this specific requirement of coordinating the intellectual discourse of the unfurling Grand Narrative of Emerging India in consonance of its political philosophy and messaging.

The duly spirited and self indulgent army of karyakartas & empathisers - the feet on the street would find it extremely expedient to fall upon this coordinated discourse and continue their canvassing & communications drive across the spectrum in their respective spheres of influence. They are putting out a spectacular show, but given a profound ready backup, they would make the kill to prevent the distortion of the Indic spirit at the hand of mischief mongers. A stupendous synchronization of efforts & energies resulting into a coherent resonance would defeat the dark designs of the offensive grand narrative aimed at engulfing India into a perpetual cycle of chaos and confusion preventing the due ascendance of her billion plus populace.

The Systems approach of Prime Minister Modi has left even the best of his supporters guessing about his intent and eventual content of his super-lightning speed and scale of operations and engagements.

The detractors would keep on knit-pricking on one count or the other, true to their chosen dharma. However, the people of India who have given their franchise to him to re-engineer their destinies are somewhere perplexed on the plane of reason and eventual directionality.

What is it that this man, posing as a mahabali trying to achieve? Where are the contours of his adventures converging? What has the tech-czars of today to do with the deep ditch of India’s developmental narrative whereby it’s a struggle to relish seamless connectivity in the national capital, what to talk of other zones of the country?

The San Jose Sojourn, if dissected objectively and dovetailed into the larger scheme of things, does present a mind-boggling grandstanding of Mr. Modi, the master strategist and tactician who by his meticulous mix of charms and coercion has laid down the script of a renewed world order.

In today’s world of stock market driven economics, speculation is at the core of its being which is linearised by an entire set of parameters and indices. After securing a resolute support from the Indian electorate and setting up a modular and accountable governing structure back home, Mr. Modi embarked upon a much bigger agenda which can rightly be termed as Indian Imperialism – winning over the hearts through intellectual and cultural discourse duly carried over by its people belonging to the top strata of its society. Better the perception of a rising India, better its geo-economic prospects whereby global capital snoozes over a sneeze.

He sat out on a digvijaya country after country, engaging and empowering the People of Indian Origin of all hues. Leveraging the soft power of multitudes of Indians in influential positions shaping the global policy deck in his favour and being the democratic leader of a 1.25 billion people, he tempted the global behemoths to put in their penny into his cash starved economy.

The Sojourn to San Jose was a deliberate detour from his United Nations and Bilateral Obligations to script a track-f diplomacy (f for future). Unlike the stratified era of the past whereby technology was of a physical nature, difficult to transfer and share, and easy to consolidate and confine within geographical territories; the latest wave is more ethereal.

The entire technology stack can be transferred and replicated to any geographical confine in a matter of hours if not minutes. And unlike Snowdens and Assanges, the custodians of these massive superstructures are bonafide Nadellas and Pichais and Zuckerbergs having a penchant for the mystic Modi, if not India.

This wave is rewriting all the conventional rules of engagement and is presenting a unique opportunity for a much more democratised world which is prosperous and peaceful. Productivity is taking a different turn altogether presenting a greater re-engineering of corporations and behemoths; Commerce has got disrupted; Transportation is getting re-organised; Education, Hospitality, Manufacturing is all getting affected in a big way. You name a sector and you find disruptions and unbelievable re-engineering out there happening. The asymmetric power of capital is getting linearised like never before, so is the leeway of conventional authority in the wake of heightened social interactions.  It’s information which is creating the flux. It just can’t be controlled or captivated by any means now.

The combined authority and influence of the entire set of sovereign nation heads in the United Nations is increasingly getting influenced by that of these tech-titans who have somewhere created a parallel Unified Network of Humanity, specially the younger generation.

Mr. Modi has emerged to be the chief hota of this technological transformation. He is for them, the biggest brand ambassador for their creations. Someone who has the capacity and competence to communicate the wonders of technology to a diverse country as that of India, certainly possesses extraordinary talent.  Someone who is equal at ease in conversing and motivating with the people of the most backward of territories to that of the most advanced and progressive lots.

The San Jose Sojourn, can thereby be considered as an epochal moment which has tried to bridge between stark destitution and heavenly prosperity through the bridge of Information and Communication Technology which would design, develop and drive the future of humanity.

For Mr. Modi, a whopping 43% of this tech-world junta is smeared with People of Indian Origin who in their deeper confines and recesses do have a sense of giving back. In a jocular sense of the term, he was probably visiting an Indian Colony of the 21st Century, canvassing for support and helping hand back home.
From achieving an International recognition for the esoteric wisdom of Yoga to the clarion call of defining Global Terrorism and taking the lead on the narrative of Climate Change, Mr. Modi has set out his cat amongst the pigeons prevailing on the power and potential of a 1.25 billion humanity.

It wouldn’t be a far fetched idea that his contours of engagements are all directed towards the dual focii of Indian Renaissance along with that of a more linearised Global Order ensuring peace and prosperity.
